Social Responsibility

At MKC, we believe the strength of a company comes from the strength of its community and a commitment to shared values. From our efforts to employ veterans and charitable giving to veterans’ causes, to our partnership with Osceo7a benefiting Native Americans, to our close relationships with Give Kids the World and the Joe Namath Foundation, we invest and give our time to causes that create real impact.

  • Mike Kogan, President and CEO of MKC, has held a stakeholder position in the Joe Namath Celebrity Annual Golf Classic since its inception in 2006. The annual two-day, three course fundraiser generates over $1.1 million annually for the Foundation. It is named after the event’s host, Joe Namath, star quarterback of the 1969 Super Bowl Champion Jets and NFL Hall of Fame member.

  • Give Kids the World Village is a 79-acre, nonprofit resort in Central Florida that provides week-long, cost-free vacations to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. We are proud to be involved on an ongoing basis with Give Kids the World and look forward to continuing to support this noble cause.

MKC was chosen as a contractor for the “Give Kids the World Extreme Makeover” event. MKC and its team spent two weeks refurbishing and retrofitting the guest villas. Led by MKC’s management team, a 56-person crew, which at one point grew to 80, worked 18-hour shifts to complete the 12 “Phase 4” villas in Fairytale Forest.

  • MKC makes a concerted effort to employ and contract veterans. Our primary subcontractor in the Caribbean is a service-disabled veteran-owned business.  We are also involved in charities such as Wounded Warriors and Headstrong.

  • MKC is proud to be the renovation contractor of choice for Osceo7a Enterprises.  Osceo7a Enterprises specializes in various services for Native American communities across the United States as well as resorts and gaming facilities on Native American lands. Their goal is to provide quality work in the areas mentioned above and to use the proceeds from those projects to focus on charitable giving in three key Native American focus areas: health, education, and culture.
